Collective Studio was established to create an open platform based in Cambodia, on the issues of urbanism, architecture and design and their relationship to development.

We are an evolving collection of local and international designers.

Our focus is on tackling, studying, and envisioning solutions for the built environment and believe, in doing this, there is potential for collaboration between the commercial, social,  and governmental sectors.

Our community and cultural projects sit alongside commercial work whereby one supports the other and the two cross over. Our work ranges from small to large scale interior, architecture and urban design projects. We partner with local and international grassroots organisations, NGO’s and private clients.

Team

Founders:

Eva Lloyd – BA in architecture and interior design. Worked for several firms and taught in Australia before moving to Cambodia at the end of 2010.

Giacomo Butte – MA in interior architecture. Worked and taught in Italy, Japan and China before moving to Cambodia mid 2o10

Network:

Setha Chhorn – MA in tropical architecture in Germany. Has been practicing in Cambodia for over 10 years.

Shelby Doyle - Shelby holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, currently  Fulbright scholar based in Phnom Penh.

Tommaso Maggio – M.Sc in Industrial Design. Since 2009 Lecturer at CommDe, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.

Laura Perin – Dipl. Ing. M.Sc in Architecture.  Worked in Italy, Mexico and since 2009 in Thailand, Bangkok.
